Family Visits:
During the program, we discourage family and friends from visiting students and taking them off campus. Weekend time allows students to establish friendships and become fully involved in the residential program. In fact, we find that homesickness is often intensified by daily visits from parents.

However, the MAYA program recognizes the importance of parental involvement in a student's academic and social growth. Therefore, visitation is recommended for Saturdays after 5 P.M. and on Sundays from 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Students who wish to leave during these times must sign out with the front desk and their residential counselor. Students will be allowed to leave campus only with the parents or guardians or their designees. Exceptions are granted for personal or family emergencies.

If a student leaves campus with someone other than a parent/guardian at any time during the program, this person must be 18 years or older and permission must be granted by the coordinator 24 hours in advance.
