Majors offered during the MAYA program are taught by educators certified within the state of Missouri or who have national board certification. The curriculum offered is the same offered throughout the state as set forth by the Missouri Department of Education. Each instructor also uses the services of a teaching assistant. Each teaching assistant is selected from Missouri S&T's teacher education program and is a certified substitute teacher. All have completed their observation and aiding hours, with the majority prepared to enter their student teaching.
